An integral part of victim advocacy is raising awareness of the field and the needs of the survivors we serve. A great opportunity to engage our community and increase connection amongst our team is the National Organization for Victim Advocacy (NOVA): Advocacy in Action 5k, during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week on Friday, April 26th. I am requesting to create a team to participate in the event and hope the agency/organization will cover the registration fee. 

NOVA’s Advocacy in Action 5K helps advocates at agencies/organizations like ours to connect with each other, our communities, and NOVA’s national network of victim service professionals around our common mission to support survivors of crime and advance the field of victim advocacy. This year, all proceeds raised from the 5K will go towards training scholarships to remove financial barriers for new advocates entering the field and promote the victim service profession.

Benefits of NOVA’s Advocacy in Action 5K include:
