We are please to announce the NACP's Interim Pre-Approved Training program, which combines the Office for Victims of Crime's (OVC) Victim Assistance Training (VAT) Online modules with exclusive NOVA training content to help applicants meet required training standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Who is this Training Content Designed For:
New applicants who have yet to apply for NACP Credentialing and who will:
successfully complete the OVC VAT Online modules assessed by NACP; and
successfully complete the additional NACP Introductory Advocacy Interim Training training content.
Applicants who previously applied for NACP Credentialing using OVC's VAT Online to satisfy our Initial Advocacy Training Requirement, but who's submissions remain incomplete.
Setting up an LMS account with NOVA to access training content
Required documentation for both OVC & NOVA training content
If your NACP application is currently incomplete:
Ensure you have completed all required OVC VAT Online modules, as indicated in the Training Guide
Complete the remaining required training content by registering and completing NACP's Interim Introductory Advocacy Training
Provide your supplemental documentation by emailing the following to credential@thenacp.org:
An updated version of your OVC' VAT Online Excel transcript, indicating successful completion of all required modules as indicated in the NACP Interim Introductory Advocacy Training Guide
Certificates of completion for all modules of the NACP Interim Introductory Advocacy Training.
All supplemental documentation must be received by February 20, 2026 to ensure timely processing for our February 2026 NACP Review (2/24-2/25/2026)
